Gord Brownridge, BComm, CAIB, CIP


Gord joined the firm as a student in 1996, and over the years has worked in all areas of the company, including Autoplan, Personal and Commercial Insurance. He attended the University of Northern BC and in 2001 obtained his Bachelor of Commerce in Marketing. He earned his Canadian Accredited Insurance Broker (Honours) designation in 2000, and became a Chartered Insurance Professional in 2010. As our firm’s President, Gord is responsible for overall management of the brokerage, in addition to caring for the insurance needs of his own commercial clients. He has particular expertise in Construction, Surety Bonding and Claims Management. Gord enjoys working with businesses that have complex insurance needs, and has a specific interest in the areas of legal liability and tort law. He loves the family atmosphere in the office and is well known for creating zany bets or competitions with his co-workers. A past-president of the UNBC Alumni Association, Gord has been a longtime volunteer in many capacities at his alma mater, and has served with a number of other community organizations as well. In his personal time Gord loves to travel with his wife Nicole and son Ewan, and if he’s not at the gym or on the golf course, he can usually be found at the dog park with their Irish terrier Jules.
